(syn. Drimys aromatica) Also known as Mountain Pepper, this very decorative small shrub has bright, glossy foliage which contrasts nicely with its reddish bark. It produces small, lightly fragrant creamy-white blossoms in abundance which mature in autumn into peppercorn-like black fruit.

Use

As an isolated lawn specimen or in association with evergreen shrubs such as Rhododendrons, Japanese Azaleas, Camellias, etc.
