Use

In shrubberies in association with Rhododendrons, deciduous Azaleas, Camellias, Pieris, etc., and on balconies and patios in boxes or pots.

Planting

From September to the beginning of May, in cool, acid soil. Dig a hole three times the size of the root ball. Remove the plant from its container and thoroughly soak the root ball. Half-fill the hole with a mixture of acid compost and non-chalky soil. Place the plant (not too deeply) in the hole and continue filling around the root ball. Water well after planting.

Maintenance

Water well during dry periods, at least once a week. Add a specialised fertiliser during the spring. Mulching the area around the plant, for example with pine bark chips, is recommended.
